The Kerris Havanese Story
Living in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney is a wonderful place to raise our precious canines.
They run freely over an acre of land, spend their days relaxing in the sun and nights are spent tucked up in their warm beds with the felines also residing at Kerris.
When we were looking for a smaller dog to show and as a companion, we met and assessed a number of breeds. We were looking for a small dog with brains and one who could live happily with our other dogs and cats not to mention our precious Grandchildren.
Our search found the Havanese breed and after talking with some wonderful Australian breeders to learn about the breed we decided that the Havanese would be for us.
Knowing what it is like to purchase a quality show puppy we expected a long wait for our own Havanese, but we were very lucky that our search led us to Georgie Hampson of Cubet Havanese as she had available a black puppy - Jordan.
Thus the story begins for Kerris Havanese.
Our Havanese family has now grown to include a number of Havanese and we are taking our future breeding plans very seriously to ensure we breed healthy, happy, true to type Havanese.
